Senior Sarah Zondor lays one in against the Lowell defense.

The CP Lady Bulldogs were nearly flawless against the team that eliminated CP from the sectionals last season. With only 6 turnovers on the entire night and a 2.7/1 assist to turnover ratio, the Dogs were clicking on all cylinders.

Lowell lost 7 seniors to graduation, and their top returning scorer from last season, Rachel Wilegos, is still on crutches from stress fractures in both of her legs. She will be getting her cast of in a week-and-a-half, and the Red Devils couldn't be happier, as they struggled from the field with only 12 points for the night while committing 28 turnovers, many of them forced by CP's defensive pressure.

Crown Point set the tone early with a 26-4 run in the first quarter.  The 'Dogs never looked back and executed throughout the night at will.  Alex Webster and Ashley Plumley teamed at the point guard position for 21 points, 10 assists and 7 steals.  Post players Nikki Borys and Carissa Triplett combined for 22 points, 13 rebounds and 5 blocks.

Leading scorer in the game was CP senior Sarah Zondor with 20 (3 treys, 3 steals), followed by junior Alex Webster with 16. That was backed up by two other double figure scorers in Nikki Borys (14) and Amanda Bernard (11), who had 7 and 6 rebounds respectively for the night. Leading scorer for Lowell was freshman Lisa Schulfer with 5.
